The Tutors   the tutors

The Music Production tutors all have expansive knowledge of the software and programs used in today's music industry. Using sequencers such as Cubase SX, Logic Audio and Sonar plus hundreds of plug in effects such as Antares Auto Tune, Reverb, Echo and Chorus the tutors have taught from the basics upwards to youth and adults all over the UK. With their experience and knowledge it is no surprise that they have produced music tracks for various artists in the UK that have been released as singles and on albums. The tutors are very skilled when it comes to breaking this complicated activity into a clear and easy to learn teaching technique that has helped hundreds of pupils they have taught in this creative activity.

The Music Production Workshop   the workshop

To start the workshop off the tutor will teach the pupils what makes a musical track successful and find out what music style e.g. Hip Hop, R&B, Drum 'n' Bass, Garage etc, the participants want to make their track in using different examples from the today's music industry. The pupils will also be taught about musical bars, timing and tips on how to bring impact to the musical track. The tutor will then demonstrate how to put together a full drum beat using drum samples in a step by step teaching technique. Following the drum beat the pupils will then go on to learn how to put together a bass line and more using samples from the all top sample CDs available today.

After the demonstrations the participants will then have the chance to start composing their very own musical tracks with the help of the tutor and even get the chance to learn how to record their very own vocals using professional recording equipment.

The music production workshop provides the participants with a creative day and come away with the basic knowledge of how to create a musical track and record vocals plus all participants will have a copy of the track they made in the workshop to show off and brag about to all their friends and family.

the summary

Overall this workshop brings a great opportunity to learn how to produce music and record vocals using top of the range software with the help of a professional. In the past youth groups and other organisations have bought the software used in this activity so the participants may carry on making more tracks by all working together as a team. If your interested in making music, don't miss out on the chance to work with a professional tutor in the Urban Edge music production workshop.
