In the Urban Edge free running / parkour workshop participants will get the chance to learn basic free running moves from a professional free runner.
warm up
The warm up is a combination of parkour exercises and gymnastic stretches and is ideal for preparing the body for everything that will be covered in the free running workshop.
the routine
The participants will then be taught the basic movements used in free running with the focus being on using an efficient and safe technique. These movements will include:
• Jumps
• Rolls
• Vaults
• Wall Runs
Once all the participants have learnt the basic movements the tutors will begin teaching the transitions between moves which will lead directly into the participants first 'run'.
the run
By using the skills they developed during the workshop all of the participants will be able to plan out and perform their very own "run." A "run" literally means free running from point A to point B moving over or around the obstacles however you choose.

The free running workshop is an excellent way to have fun, keep fit and learn something exciting and new. After the workshop is over you can even take the skills you've learnt and use them to create more runs in other areas and environments.
